The Brederode was a warship and served as the flagship of Admiral Maerten Tromp in the sea battle of Terheide at Scheveningen in 1653 and was sunk by the Swedes in the Battle of the Sound in 1658.

Le Brederode était un navire de guerre qui servit sous le commandement de l'amiral Maerten Tromp à la bataille de Terheide à Scheveningen entre les hollandais et les anglais en 1753 et qui coula à la bataille du Sound en 1658. Nous remercions Monsieur Remmelt Daalder pour cette information.
