A PALE GREENISH-WHITE AND RUSSET JADE BRUSH WASHER
18TH/FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY
Retaining the shape of the original pebble, the shallow brush washer is carved on the base with a whirlpool, and with two confronted chilong contesting a flaming pearl surrounded by openwork flames amidst the breaking, openwork waves that form the incurved rim. The pearl and flames are highlighted by the opaque russet area of the stone.
