AN APPLE-GREEN AND GREENISH-WHITE JADEITE TWO-PART BELT BUCKLE
19TH CENTURY
The top of each half is carved through the apple-green layer in openwork with a dragon amidst scrolling lingzhi, supported by two legs and small scrolls above the icy pale greenish and lavender-white ground. One half has a dragon-head hook, and the other a loop. Each has a circular button on the underside.

Private collection, United States, before 1968, and thence by descent within the family.
