The maîtrise date for Etienne Meunier is not recorded. Based in the rue de Clery, he was active during the reign of Louis XV until the early 1770s. His work was partly sold though the intermediary of marchands-ébènistes such as Etienne Igoe, but primarily Pierre Migeon (B. Pallot, L'Art du Siège au XVIIIe en France, Paris, 1989, p. 312).
