The rectangular cabinet with two hinged doors opening to reveal four drawers, decorated in gold, silver, red and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, hirame, togidashi-e, nashiji and tiny flakes of cut shell, with scenes from the tale of The Tongue-Cut Sparrow, the drawers with flowers and foliage and auspicious objects, engraved silver fittings and handles
