CIRCA 1580, WORKSHOP OF LEONARDO DI ANTONIO BETTISI 'DOM PINO' AND HIS SON ANTONIO, BLUE ·FAM· ABOVE A FLOURISH
Of deep circular fluted form, the centre painted in blue and highlighted in yellow with a Roman soldier within a circular medallion, the fluted sides painted in blue with panels of scrolling foliage alternating with pendant foliage, the exterior with blue and yellow acanthus leaves and pendant foliage (crack towards centre and extending over halfway round foot, two chips and slight chipping to footrim, scratching to rim)
14 1/8 in. (36 cm.) diam.
