Lot Essay

Though not stamped, this elegant table is identical to a "mahogany ecarte table" design with "mahogany partitions in [the drawer]" illustrated in Gillows of Lancaster's Estimate Sketch Books, folio 3557, dated 14 December 1826, made by John Miller.
