BRADMAN, Sir Donald George -- An Australian Touring blazer by Farmers. Sydney, for the tour to England 1934, the label inscribed in ink: "D.G. Bradman," the breast pocket embroidered with the Australian crest and the motto: "Australia 1934," the whole trimmed in yellow.
Provenance
Sold with a letter of provenance from the vendor, the Revd. Canon Timothy Biles, which states: "This blazer and cap were the personal gift of Sir Donald Bradman to me when I left his employ in 1959 after working for his Adelaide stockbroking firm, 1958-59. The firm, at 23 Grenfell St, Adelaide, traded under the name of Len Bullock & Co." (see illustration on catalogue cover)
