Shield shaped with green and gold-painted dial with painted steel hands and 'THE GIFT OF JOHN GROOM & WILL.M THOMAS 1763' with associated dial clock movement with shaped plates, four baluster-turned pillars, single wire line fusee and recoil anchor escapement; with pendulum, five winding keys (case lacking original trunk; paintwork later)
