A URARTIAN BRONZE HELMET AND TWO LURISTAN BRONZE SWORDS
EARLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
The helmet formed of hammered sheet, conical in form, tapering to a tall point, the front with a lightning symbol in relief, extending up in a tapering central rib, circa 8th Century B.C., 1½ in. (29.3 cm.) high; a Luristan bronze sword with disc pommel, long tapering blade with central ribbed mid-rib, incised triangular decoration over top of blade, 23½ in. (59.7 cm.) long; and another Luristan bronze sword with openwork pommel, 19 in. (48.3 cm.) long, both circa 9th-7th century B.C. (3)
