Kraatz., made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in both directions, the prime meridian running through Iceland, graduated ecliptic and equator, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes and telegraph cables; supported in graduated brass meridian, octagonal paper horizon ring on two wooden arcs, on turned wooden tripod base with eight point compass rose -- the celstial: Dietrich Reimers HIMMELSGLOBUS 34cm. Durchm. Neu bearbeitet von Dr. H. Gewwecke. Verlag von D. Reimer (E. Vohsen) Berlin., made up of twelve pale blue chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the major constellations depicted by means of a brown line joining the stars, others simply bounded by a thin brown line, with faint pictorial representations behind in pale blue, in the form of mythical beasts, figures and scientific instruments, the stars to several orders of magnitude with no key, supported in graduated brass meridian, octagonal paper horizon ring on two wooden arcs, on turned wooden tripod base with eight point compass rose.
