The helmet eight plate russet iron suji-bachi [ridged bowl] with ko-boshi [small decorative 'star' rivets], broad mabisashi [peak] with gilt fukurin [edging], six-tier Etchu-jikoro [neck guard] of shittsukezane [plate in simulation of linked scales], black-lacquered small fukigaeshi [turn-backs] with glt fukurin, deeply-wrinkled iron menpo [lower face guard] with detachable nose, three-tier shittsukezane yodarekake [bib], the nimai-do [two-section hinged cuirass] of riveted iron bands simulating rows of wide kozane, seven-tiered sode [shoulder guards] and seven tassets of five-tiered kusazuri [skirt] of shittsukezane, Etchu haidate [thigh protector], three-splint iron shino suneate [lower leg guards], all components with matching green kebiki odoshi [close lacing], armour box
