Each with a serpentine top above a frieze fitted with one central drawer flanked to either side by a dummy drawer, on square tapered legs and block feet, the underside of the back edge of the top fitted with later brass splash-back bracket supports, later handles

This serpentined form of sideboard-table with taper-hermed and plinth-supported pilasters was introduced in the 1770s and popularised by Messrs A. Hepplewhite & Co's Cabinet and Upholsterer's Guide, 1788
