CIRCA 2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
The front panel sculpted in low relief, the central plaque inscribed in Latin, reading: "To the Divine Shades of Cassia Marcia; lived 7 years, 4 months, 17 days," flanked by military regalia, including, to the left, two crested helmets on either side of a circular shield ornamented with an elaborate rosette, two spears crossing behind, and a pair of overlapping scuta embellished with a thunderbolt, to the right, a pelta shield with a trumpet, a battle axe, a bow and a quiver crossing behind, and a pair of overlapping scuta embellished with foliate motifs emerging from the central knob
