FIRST EDITION. Montpensier, fifth son of Louis Philippe, travelled on a diplomatic mission to Egypt and the Levant in 1848, accompanied by his tutor-secretary Antoine de Latour, who wrote the text volume. The plates include three views of Constantinople, four of Broussa, three of Cairo, two of Tunis, and others. Atabey 1138; Blackmer 952; Weber I, 400.
