Ecce homo

This work relates closely to the composition of 1644 by Guercino in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica, Rome. In a private communication to the vendor (September 2009), Nicholas Turner suggested that the picture is a studio replica of the Corsini painting, with some intervention by Guercino himself. Professor Turner dates the present work to the mid-1640s.
