The slice of cake comes in a white cardboard presentation box with silvered lettering: a crown above 'EP' Buckingham Palace 20th November 1947', in a later perspex case
Case -- 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; 7½ in. (19 cm.) wide
Provenance
The cake was originally presented to Mr C H Spackman, who formed part of the Guard of Honour at the royal wedding in 1947. It comes with a card that reads, 'With the best wishes of Their Royal Highnesses The Princess Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh'.
