A bronze figure of Garuda
North India, Himachal Pradesh, 15th/16th century
Standing with his right knee bent on a lotus base, his hands held in anjalimudra in front of the chest, clad in a short dhoti and adorned with various jewelry and a serpent garland with the feathered wings outstretched at the shoulders, the face with a benevolent expression with beaked nose and wide eyes surmounted by a conical headdress and backed by streaming ribbons and a shrirashchakra
