A BLUE SILK KESI FORMAL COURT ROBE, JIFU
c.1870/1880
The robe is woven to the blue ground with nine gilt five-clawed dragons and flaming pearls amongst cloud scrolls, bats and Shou characters, all above cresting waves and lishui stripes.

Acquired by the vendor's aunt in London prior to 1990.
