A REGENCY PENWORK AND GILT-METAL MOUNTED SARCOPHAGUS-SHAPED TEA CADDY
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Decorated overall with Oriental figures and exotic scenes, the hipped lid with borders of flowers and foliage revealing an interior fitted with with two lidded compartments and glass bowl, depicting figures of hunters and another Oriental, and retaining the original red velvet lining, the front panel depicting a camel procession, the reverse an elephant procession, the sides with pressed metal floral ring handles, on foliate and rocaille feet, labelled '6759'
