AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS ALABASTRON
CIRCA LATE 6TH-EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
Cobalt blue in color, the cylindrical body with a rounded base, the short neck flaring to the disk rim, with opaque yellow and turquoise marvered threads wound spirally along the body, tooled into a zigzag pattern in the center of the body, with vertical grooves from the tooling, a yellow thread along the rim, the applied twin cobalt blue handles with tails
