A LATE ROMAN GLASS JAR
CIRCA 4TH CENTURY A.D.
Olive green in color, free blown, the tapering cylindrical body flaring toward the carinated shoulders, with a wide neck and an everted mouth, the rim folded in, on a slightly kicked base, the body with wheel-abraded motifs of opposing interlocking pentagons, each centered by an oval facet, flanked above and below by hatching
6 5/8 in. (16.9 cm.) high
