ATTRIBUTED TO THE CIVICO PAINTER, CIRCA 550-540 B.C.
The tondo with a nude youth running to the right and looking back, encircled by a ring of alternating red and black tongues, an ivy leaf below each handle, rays above the foot, details in added white and red; Each side with a goddess standing at the center in profile to the left, her wings outspread, her arms extended to either side, one palm up, one down, clad in a short chiton, flanked by onlookers, two seated on a klismos with swan-head finials, followed by three additional standing, some fully cloaked in ankle-length striped himatia, some with their lower bodies wrapped in short striped chlamydes
