Lot Essay

Morison & Co. were one of Edinburgh's leading cabinet-makers. The proprietor of Morison & Co. was William Robert Reid, who lived at Launston Castle, Cramond, just outside Edinburgh from 1902 to 1926. He left the castle and its collection in trust to the nation.
