A BLUE AND WHITE XIXIANGJI DISH
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The interior of the dish is painted with a scene from The Romance of the Western Chamber, Xixiangji, depicting Zhang Sheng visiting the temple with his attendants. The scene is encircled by a band of prunus flowers and the exterior is decorated with a riverside landscape scene.
