Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with applied hour markers in 1957 and its subsequent sale on 15 October 1958.

The large Calatrava model reference 570 was introduced into the market in 1938, featuring either subsidiary or sweep center seconds. The sweep centre seconds version was produced in two series: the first with a 12 SC movement was in production until 1950, the second with calibre 27 SC, such as the present watch, from 1950 until 1970.
