Lot Essay

The present watch was manufactured in 1984 and sold in September 1986. However as the engraved Roman numerals to the bezel are a later addition and not by Patek Philippe, no Extract from the Archives will be issued.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered at auction before and is furthermore one of less than ten examples of a reference 3800/1P with diamond indexes to appear in public to date.
