Lot Essay

Frederika joined the Vereniging voor Vrouwenkiesrecht (Dutch Association for Woman's Suffrage) in 1908 and would later on become the chairman of the Propaganda Comité voor Vrouwenkiesrecht in The Hague. In 1915 she accompanied Aletta Jacobs (1854-1929) on her journey across Europe to offer European governments the resolutions of the International Congres of Women held in The Hague. Jacobs spend the last year of her life at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. van Wulfften Palthe in The Hague in 1928-29.
