MARK OF V .K (CYRILLIC), PROBABLY FOR VASILY KUBALYEV, MOSCOW, 1908/17
The angular handle chased to sides with scrollwork panels and set on top of handle and either side of scroll at front with cabochon garnets and green paste, the rim engraved with whorl motifs, the glass diamond and star-cut to sides with a large twelve-sided star to base, the back of handle inscribed with monogram above date 17/IX/1921
