Lot Essay

In this story, Ishido-maru and his mother took a journey to find his father who had become a priest. At this time, women were not allowed on Mount Koya, only Ishido-maru proceeded, leaving his mother at the base. When he reached the Karukayado temple, without knowing he was actually his father, Ishido-maru met a man called Karukaya Doshin. Disappointed by not having been able to find his father, Ishido-maru went back to the base and discovered that his mother had passed away after the long journey. Ishido-maru decided to become a priest, returned to the mountain and trained together with Karukaya Doshin at this temple without knowing their relationship.
