Pommes d'amour ceuillies par un gourmet pour les amis de la gaieté. Brussels [but Paris]: [A. Brancart] 1891.
Octavo (254 x 163 mm). Title printed in red and black, initials and chapter headings printed in red. The printed plates replaced with a full-page watercolour on the half-title and 25 watercolours in the text. (Short marginal tear repaired, occasional light scattered spotting.) 20th-century full red morocco, spine with raised bands and gilt in compartments, sides with gilt triple fillets, green morocco doublures, gilt turn ins, gilt border with priapic corner tools, the front doublure centred with a gilt emblem, top edge gilt others untrimmed (hinges lightly rubbed).
FIRST EDITION. A UNIQUE COPY, FINELY BOUND, AND ILLUMINATED THROUGHOUT WITH ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS. Very rare: not in the Bibliothèque nationale de France or the National Library of the Netherlands; WorldCat locates only one copy, at the British Library; AE and ABPC record none at auction.
