Large engraved wall map of the world, 1250 x 1885mm, printed on 4 sheets, each approx. 665 x 960mm, mounted on linen with brown paper surround and edged with black fabric tape, the whole with blue silk border ribbon. (Minor browning and offsetting, very light soiling to extreme eastern edge.) Provenance: James Wyld (mapseller's printed label beneath imprint) – minor contemporary annotation, including the positions of the overwintering of Parry in northern Canada in 1823, as well as the out- and homeward tracks of the voyage of the Warren Hastings from the English Channel to Calcutta with small title within cartouche.
