THE MOUNTS MARKED FABERGÉ, WITH THE WORKMASTER’S MARK OF VICTOR AARNE, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1901, SCRATCHED INVENTORY NUMBER 7968
Of shaped rectangular form, on a spreading foot, chased and engraved with four dolphins with upright tails, the upper mount chased with scrolls and foliate motifs to imitate sea waves, the mounts pierced for electric fittings, marked under base and on upper mount
11½ in. (29.2 cm.) high (without lamp shade)
Provenance
Empress Maria Feodorovna, purchased from the Fabergé St Petersburg branch on 31 December 1901 for 450 roubles.
