Lot Essay

American graphic artist Harry Gordon created his poster dresses in a series of five designs - Mystic Eye, Giant Rocket, Rose, Pussy Cat and Hand. Mystic Eye was said to be the kohl-rimmed eye of Audrey Hepburn. The manufacturer stated Throw it away? Never! When you're finally tired of wearing it, why not...Cut open all the seams and hang it on your wall as a poster...or cover pillows...or wrap packages...or as your collection grows, sew them together and make a bedspread or curtains or a tablecloth.
