Lot Essay

V.O.C. records show repeated attempts to have the Pronk patterns made at a commercial price in Japan, but they were all unsuccessful and in fact the entire Pronk venture was abandoned after a few years due to narrow profit margins. See C.J.A. Jorg, Pronk Porcelain, pp. 71-3.
