'In 1833 a double series of outstanding aquatints was published: six landscapes of Quebec City and six views of Niagara Falls. These prints are the most famous of all those created by artists active in Canada in the nineteenth century, because they are unrivalled in terms of complexity and difficulty and were made by one of the few military artists to have had a professional art career.'
