A GERMAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER BAPTISMAL PENDANT
DATED 1639
The central oval plaque cast and applied with a scene of the Baptism of Christ, with openwork scroll border with pendant pearl, suspended from three chains with Saint Esprit finial, the back engraved with inscription
5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) long
1 oz. 9 dwt. (45 gr.)
The inscription almost certainly relates to Johannes Bren[n]er who was born on 15 November 1639. He married Anna Blanckh in 1652.
