ST PETERSBURG – Nouvelle Collection de Quarante-deux Vues de Saint-Pétersbourg et de ses Environs. St Petersburg: Alexandre Pluchart, 1826. Oblong 4° (345 x 480mm). Engraved plan of St Petersburg with key leaf, 42 lithographic plates after Galaktionov and others, extra-illustrated with three additional plates: a plan of Catherinoff by Montferrand mounted on the inside front cover, and a plate by Orlovskii and another captioned ‘Taganrog’ both bound in at the end. (Some spotting.) Contemporary half sheep, large printed paper label repeating the title page on upper cover (worn, spine panel mostly lost, corners rubbed, sides scuffed). Provenance: Hugh Lupus, 1st Duke of Westminster (1825-1899).
