JARRE COUVERTE EN PORCELAINE BLEU BLANC MONTE EN BRONZE DORE
CHINE, EPOQUE TRANSITION, CIRCA 1640-1650
The jar and cover is finely painted with magpies amidst blossoming branches, with scattered floral branches on the neck. The shoulder is mounted with a pair of gilt-bronze handles in the form of rams; cover and base drilled and mounted as lamp. The French ormulu mounts are dated late 18th - early 19th century.
