ATTRIBUTED TO THE LENTINI-MANFRIA GROUP, CIRCA 310-300 B.C.
The lid with a seated draped female, leaning back on her outstretched right arm, resting her left elbow on her knee, wearing a peplos with dotted borders, earrings, a necklace and bracelets, a radiate stephane in her bound hair, looking back at the nude winged figure of Eros aiming his bow and arrow at a swan, its wings outstretched, with scrolling palmette and tendrils in the field, the knob with double palmette and two dotted rosettes, a band of wave around the rim and the bowl, details in added white
