Lot Essay

Murray’s work, realised through carpet-maker Paco Pakdou, translates artworks into the medium of wool and silk. Leaning towards abstraction, here it is rendered in a way that still hints at representational forms beneath the surface, alluding to structures that are simultaneously in the process of forming or perhaps disintegrating.
