A GILT-GROUND KESI 'DRAGON' PANEL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The panel is boldly woven in peacock feather, gilt, and coloured threads with a front-facing four-clawed dragon with the flaming pearl amongst ruyi-form clouds and four of the Eight Precious Objects, babao, above tumultuous waves.
