A WHITE JADE 'RUYI' WASHER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The washer is carved with tall fluted sides rising from a short foot of conforming shape. The interior is hollowed out to form a ruyi cloud with two confronted cat fish chasing a wan symbol. The stone is of an even pale tone with a lustrous polish, some minor russet inclusions, and milky speckling.
