A PAINTED ENAMEL 'EUROPEAN SUBJECT' SNUFF BOTTLE
20TH CENTURY
The snuff bottle is colourfully enamelled with two cartouches depicting European figures in pastoral scenes, set against a yellow ground with stylised floral scrolls. The base bears an apocryphal Qianlong four-character mark in blue enamel. The gilt-bronze stopper is decorated with a foliate design.
