A SMALL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL TRIPOD CENSER
QIANLONG INCISED SEVEN-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The censer is decorated to the shoulder with four cartouches enclosing flower heads borne on leafy scrolling foliage, reserved on a blue ground, between two gilt bands. The remainder of the body and base are decorated with a continuous elaborate floral scroll on a turquoise ground. The reign mark is incised in one line within a gilt square to the base, followed by the character yu for 'opportunity'.
