Lot Essay

The present lot is a prototype that was realized to test the choice of materials for the architectural project  L’Hommage à Malevitch, a group of ceramic works installed in an open-air passage in the Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, Venezuela, in 1954, executed by Vasarely in collaboration with the architect Carlos Villanueva.
