A pair of hanging scrolls, ink on chrysanthemum-patterned and colour paper
Each scroll measures 172 x 29 cm. (67 3/4 x 11 1/2 in.)
Signed, with two seals of the artist
Two collectors’ seals
Inscriptions by Liu Baiying and Tao Qianqiu on the mounting, dated winter, dinghai year (1947) and with two seals, dedicated to Weijia (2)
NOTE:
Wu Weijia, of Macance descent, owner of Taixing Bank, came from a well-to-do family an was an avid collector, Wu was particularly fond of Lingnan artists.
