Engraved map of Florida colored by a contemporary hand, image 431 x 608 mm (526 x 688 mm sheet), cartouche composed of shells and coral. Matted and framed.

First issue, with the Crowned Shield watermark, from Catesby's Natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands (London, 1731-43), full contemporary coloring with French Louisiana, on both sides of the Mississippi, colored green.
