With 26 1/8 in. (66.4 cm.) rebrowned twist nitro reproved (Imperial) sighted barrels, action with long top-strap, carved fences and doll's head extension, rebounding back-action locks, and figured 14 in. pistolgrip stock including perished rubber recoil-pad, the butt pierced for a lanyard, weight 13 lbs. 5 3/8 oz., in maker's brass-cornered leather case, the lid marked in the corner '8. P'DOX'

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was ordered on 26 April 1884 for Percy Aylmer. The specification notes 26 1/8 in. barrels, low hammers, chambers to accept 3 ½ in. paper case and that it was shot with 10 drams of powder.
