Lot Essay

Accompanied by an undated Boucheron International Guarantee, product literature, Boucheron presentation box and outer packaging.

Boucheron’s inspiring wristwatch beautifully showcases the tourbillon through an aperture in the mother-of-pearl dial. Known to improve accuracy, the flying tourbillon is supported on one side of the cage, rather than being supported by a bridge, or cock, on both sides. Not only is the present wristwatch is an homage to such technical advances but it is also an homage to nature with its bold and creative design.

Attracted to beauty, the hummingbird is showcased ‘in flight,’ as it looks towards the brightly colored hibiscus flower. Known as one of the smallest birds in the world, its own beauty and speed is surprising. These wondrous creatures are thought to be messengers, who enjoy chasing dazzling fragrant flowers, bringing love and joy to those around them.
